Lynbrook Invisible Braces

Lynbrook Invisalign

Lynbrook Invisalign

At Kenneth D. Berger, DDS & Associates, we offer a wide variety of dental care for you and your family. This includes restorative and cosmetic periodontal care as well as Invisalign braces. These braces are very popular with adults and family members due to their low visibility and ease of use. If you don’t want the hassle of wearing traditional metal braces, Lynbrook Invisalign is for you.
Invisalign uses a series of clear, virtually invisible aligners to straighten the teeth. No visible metal wires or brackets are needed as is the case with traditional braces. When you come in for your Lynbrook Invisalign, we’ll make a unique custom made tray that is precisely designed to fit your teeth. At each stage, you’ll receive a different aligner that will move your teeth slowly over time to its desired position. We use state of the art 3-D computer generated graphics to calibrate each piece in a finely crafted sequence that is then translated to a complete set. The aligners can number as little as 12 or as much as 48, depending on how many teeth need to be straightened. Each set is worn for two weeks and then replaced with the next aligner. The great thing about wearing Invisalign is that, besides being invisible, they can be removed for eating, brushing and flossing.
Your first step towards getting back a beautiful straight smile is to visit our office for a consultation to see if Lynbrook Invisalign is right for you. Our orthodontist will conduct a comprehensive exam that includes an oral health baseline. The baseline consists of a periodontal exam, an oral cancer screening, and a bite occlusion analysis. If it is determined that Invisalign is right for you, our orthodontist will send treatment instructions to our computer system to create your new aligners. The process is quick and easy and you’ll be walking out with your new, invisible Invisalign braces before you know it. Invisalign braces can take up to a year to align depending on the severity of the misalignment. Don’t wait, call us at Kenneth Berger, DDS and Associates today to schedule your appointment.

Full dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some of your natural teeth still remain. The two types of full dentures are conventional or immediate, and Dr. Berger will help you to decide which is best for you. A conventional denture is ready to be placed inside the mouth about eight to twelve weeks after the teeth have been removed and when the gum tissue has started the healing process. Immediate dentures have been made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed. Over several appointments, the denture development process takes about three to six weeks. Once our North Valley Stream family dentist determines what type of appliance is best for you, measurements will be taken as well as a series of impressions of your jaw. Impressions, models, wax forms, and plastic patterns, in the exact shape and position of the denture, will be made from these impressions. We will have you try this model on several times and it will be evaluated for color, shape, and fit before the final denture is cast.

We let our patients know that even though dentures are not real teeth, you need to care for them as if they are. Before removing your dentures, you should brush them to remove plaque and food particles. After they have been removed you should place them directly into room temperature water or a denture cleaning solution. You could ruin your dentures by trying to adjust them yourself so you should always seek assistance from Our North Valley Stream family dentist if they feel uncomfortable or loose. With your well-being and oral health as a goal, you will find Dr. Berger’s exceptional care a comfort when it comes to your denture needs.
